Any discussion about Space Warfare must include how the rapidly evolving technologies grouped under the name "Artificial Intellignce" is/can be applied.

There are 4 general categories for these AI discussions: (1) robotics(including vehicle manufacturing, transportation aids, and maintenance), (2) androids, (3) AI weapons, and (4) AI enabled, controlled, and/or developed strategies and tactics, including actual operational execution

This site greatly appreciates any meaningful comments, articles, or other submissions  to advance the topics covered. Initial Observations

There are 2 Types of AI in use today (2/7/2025): (a) Chat or Large Language Models, and (B) Reasoning Models. Agents (c) are rapidly beginning to be conceived and realized, and these are the real starting point for AI in space warfare. they can initiate actions based on goals and are thus active (agent) as opposed to being passive answering or reasoning platforms.

 

Advances in AI are happening at a breakneck pace, and you must be a careful follower of almost daily news to really keep up. Fortunately, there are lots of sites on the web that are producing good explanations of what is going on. a good example is IBM's sites talking about Ai and about quantum computing.
 
ELon Musk recently said, at a Q&A at the US Military academy (west point) that is is advancing at such  a pace that 10 years from now there should be no humans on the front lines as they would be killed quickly and effectively, just drones and robots. when asked about ai controls, he said (paraphrasing here) that the ai shold be "curious" and" truth-seeking" as that framework would be the best way to have autonomous ai while preventing a "terminator" ai. this site is a proponent of using musk's framework augmented with assimov's 3(or 5) rules for robots with an outside-the-robot/ai model kill switch tha the AI cannot turnoff, since it would violate its truth seeking paramount goals of the asimov rules.

 

with the chinese deepseek model acting as a lever, the ability to quickly produce ai reasoning models is accelearating and making what looks like excellent and quick progress. See: https://www.ibm.com/think/topics/knowledge-distillation?user_id=66c4c371600ae15075938db9 for how the ai "brain(neural network computational hardware)" and its learning process can be divided into 2 steps which allows for much faster areas of expertise learning. this technique can be appliled using edge ai harware platforms like qualcomm's ai chips to produce specialized agents quicker.

 

Observations Points:
a. Space battle planners do not fully understand Einstein's Theory of Relativity (gravity defined as "a curvature of space time") to effectively use the gravity well to its maxium advantage, but they do understand that the forces of greavity are very strong and effect evrything, But AI enabled space command centers can already apply such math in Reasoning, and then in full-on agent Models.

 

according to Kevin A. Brian, "The new OpenAi model announced today (2/7/2025) is quite wild. It is essentially Google's Deep Research idea with multistep reasoning, web search, *and* the 03 model underneath (as far as I know). It sometimes takes a half hour to answer. This newest iteration appears to be approaching full agent capability previously thought to be years away.

 

B. Gravity speeds up projectiles/capsules/satellites as they get closer to large celestial bodies. An example is that satellites in LEO orbit require more velocity/ centripital force to resist the stronger pull of gravity. (F= G,lm2r2)
c. A Gravity Well can be used as a "slingshot" to increase the velocity of an item of war
d. if an advesary, such as potentially A Chinese satellite/capsule, were sent into space to "target' an a llied space object/craft, it could be immobilized by a hypothetical (TBD) "Gravity Well" projectile from an American space warship or from the l-1 / l-2 / points already positioned in such a way as to be unreachable by the attacking craft but effectly used to eliminate the attacking craft
e. If an enemy uses an armada of spacecraft, a Gravity Well could cause units to crash into one another
f. There's nowhere to hide in Earth's Gravity Well; So, it takes a smart strategy to mislead rival forces.
g. The formula for calculating the gravitational force on a satellite is straightforward and easily used to perform all types of detection/response by an AI based space management system:

r= Distance between the centers of the two masses
G. An AI managed  spacecraft/capsule in the Gravity well can exist for a century(s) if properly powered and provisioned on a periodic basis
